Our partner craftsmen/designers :
Our first partner, a Foundation works to revive rural architecture, textiles and ancient skills that are disappearing in southern India. It works to empower women in rural villages to reinvent and update these skills in partnership with design schools. In the past, making kottans was the hobby of village women and they were traditionally used as gifts at weddings and traditional celebrations. With the advent of plastic, this craft has disappeared, the foundation is reviving it while offering income opportunities to very poor rural populations.
For the earrings, it's Olivier, eco-designer in Belgium who creates sustainable objects and furniture based on re-use. The materials come from waste of companies, sorting centers or individuals and are transformed by hand in his workshop.
Given the materials used, each product is unique and may differ from the photo.
