These creations are made from Ouricuri leaves, a palm native to northern Brazil. Craftswomen formed into an association use this palm tree in the production of handicrafts, a know-how that has been passed down from generation to generation. There are more than 100 years of tradition of this handcrafted heritage. A great initiative that generates income for the community through renewable raw materials while preserving culture and traditional knowledge.
