Black Touareg nativity scene in natural soap stone from Aïr

Unique, this nativity scene is made from natural soap stone (or sandstone) from Aïr in Niger.  It is directly scarved on natural stone, burnt over a wood fire, until the desired color is obtained and sculpted.

notre artisan partenair It is carried out by a cooperative of Tuaregs in Niger who have ancient know-how in the work of this stone. The natural stone comes from the Aïr desert. Rue Rangoli has chosen to support these artisans who suffer from a very difficult situation in Niger, a country classified as the poorest in the world.
